Valley of the Queens

  • Visit the Valley of the Queens, the burial site of Egypt’s most powerful and beautiful queens, as well as other royal family members.
  • Known as “TA-set-Neferu” (The Place of Beauty) during the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC), the valley contains over 75 tombs from the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties, designed with modest exteriors to avoid attracting tomb raiders.

Habu Temple

  • Explore Habu Temple, originally called Djant, built during the New Kingdom by Hatshepsut and Thutmose III, and later expanded by Ramses III.
  • Modeled after a Syrian Migdol fortress, it features a fortified enclosure wall, a distinctive pavilion gate, and a canal with a harbor linking the temple to the Nile.

Lunch Break

  • Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor before continuing your tour.

Deir El-Medina

  • Discover Deir El-Medina, the village and cemetery of the royal workmen, built on the slopes of the Theban hills during the 19th dynasty.
  • The tombs served as family burial sites, with children interred in baskets, pottery jars, and coffins, and adult mummies preserved in higher sections.

Ramesseum Temple

  • Visit the Ramesseum, the grand funerary temple of Ramses II (1279–1213 BC), dedicated to the creator god Amun and the immortal legacy of Ramses the Great.
  • Highlights include a 17-meter (57 ft) seated statue of Ramses II and walls adorned with detailed depictions of the Battle of Kadesh, the Syrian campaigns, and the Festival of Min.
